Stainless steel hot rolled strips are narrow stainless steel strips produced by heating stainless steel billets above recrystallization temperature and rolling them into continuous strips, usually followed by annealing and pickling or delivered in black surface condition. The typical surface finish is No.1, which shows a rough, matte and slightly grainy appearance. Compared with cold rolled strips, hot rolled strips have thicker gauges, wider thickness tolerance and lower surface brightness, but provide good structural strength, high toughness and cost advantages for industrial and structural applications.
The main materials are 201, 304, 316L, 310S, 410, 430 and other grades. Thickness 1.5–12 mm, width 10–600 mm, with No.1 hot rolled pickled or black surface. Widely used in welded pipe making, structural fabrication, flanges, fasteners, mechanical parts, chemical equipment and further processing. Custom thickness, width, edge condition and packing available.
